My daughter had loved playing the saxophone until she had a series of negative experiences with teachers and completely lost her desire to play. I heard about The Private Lesson School and reached out in hopes of re-igniting the love my daughter once had for music. They sent us an incredible teacher who was able to help my daughter remember why she loved to play the saxophone and worked hard to find music that interested and challenged her. Her teacher's love of and enthusiasm for music was infectious. I love enjoying the sound of the saxophone in our home again... It means that love of music is back and going strong and that my daughter will continue to progress and grow. A huge Thank You to you guys for for bringing that back.

My daughter takes piano lessons with Mr Leon and has had an amazing time learning. He caters towards her music interest and makes it truly enjoyable. It's so convenient to have the teacher come to our house instead of having to drive out to a school. They hold recitals as well with all the school's students and Mr Goran (owner and teacher) hosts it. All the kids had a great time at the recital. I highly recommend this school. They teach violin and other instruments as well.

My daughter has been having Lessons for a while now. She has grown tremendously as a musician. The teachers at The Private Lesson School do an amazing job at helping their students feel more confident. The teacher is always positive and happy to teach. My daughter enjoys her weekly lessons. I don't think I could ask for a better teacher for her. She has moved up to advanced orchestra in school and continues to grow in her ability.

My sons teacher has been teaching my son violin lessons for about 2 years. He pays a lot of attention to standing position when holding the violin, how he holds the bow, how his fingers should be positioning.
He can be funny, he can be serious about the learning attitude and commitment about practicing. My son respects him a lot. And of course we love him too. He really brings his love of teaching to his lessons and my son wants to practice because of it!

My 6-year-old daughter has been taking private piano lessons for a little over a year. Her instructor is amazing and knows exactly how to motivate and cultivate her growth as a musician. My daughter absolutely loves it and looks forward to her lessons every week.
Within one year she is able to read sheet music and play entire songs. She has learned so much and has gained a lot of confidence in her abilities that positively affect her outside of music as well! She's more focused, engaged, and ready to take on difficult challenges! The lessons are affordable and definitely worth it. I would recommend this music school to anyone who like me doesn't have time to take them to a class and wants the class to come to them. He makes the lessons challenging and fun at the same time. In the time he has been her teacher,she has greatly improved her violin skills as well as her confidence level.
I love that my daughter is able to have her lessons in the comfort of her own home and I don't have to worry about traffic or running late.

Our 8 year-old son recently said he wanted to learn violin so we started lessons with a local teacher someone referred. However, after just a few lessons we could tell it was not a compatible match. Our son has an abundance of energy which his previous teacher did not see as a strength. I came across The Private Lesson School on Yelp and that is where his world of violin truly started. I read through the website and saw literally what I envisioned for my child's musical journey.
He plays piano as well but piano was something we introduced to him versus for violin, he specifically asked to learn it. The teachers with The Private Lesson School are all dedicated to teaching each student with individualized lesson plans with positivity. They aim to motivate the child/student to not strive for "perfection" but to enjoy and learn at the same time! Lessons are at your home which is so convenient.
Our son has 30-minute lessons, and it is such a treat to see him learning, to be excited and engaged, and to have his passion for violin fed. His teacher is VERY attentive, encouraging, positive, and is so sweet to have taken the time to get to know our son. Not to mention, I appreciate how our son's teacher sees our son's energy as a positive thing and uses that to make the most of each lesson! I love how our son's teacher let him know they will take breaks during lesson, but invited our son to decide what they will do during breaks (to work on math problems lol) which shows that our son truly has his voice while learning.

I can't believe I've waited this long to shout out Mr. Goran, who's been an absolute treasure in instructing my daughter on the viola. My girl, bless her introverted heart, dipped her toes into viola in middle school in 2021. By the spring of 2022, it was clear she wanted to level up her skills, but finding the right teacher was a saga.
None of the recommendations from her school panned out, until fate stepped in when I spotted a sign for in-home music lessons, and the rest is history.
Two years on, and I couldn't be happier with Mr. Goran's impact. Sure, my daughter's still a bit shy on stage, but behind the scenes, her progress is something to behold. She's heading high school soon and even talking about auditions for the advanced orchestra - all thanks to Mr. Goran's attention and encouragement. I enjoy listening to her practice and as someone who doesn't read music or play any instruments, I am glad to have Mr. Goran visit every week and amazed at her transformation.
What's great about Mr. Goran is his friendly demeanor and stellar communication. He understands kids - especially awkward teens like mine. No fuss, no drama - just pure dedication to his craft and his students. Finally, the fact that he comes to our home to teach the lesson is such a blessing.
I have 2 other kids who have very other activities - between soccer, volleyball, swimming, and Boys/Girl Scouts.... we don't have a lot of time to drive around because do that a lot already. This school's dedication to meeting kids where they are: mentally and physically is a true gem! Seriously, if you're on the hunt for an awesome music teacher, Mr. Goran's your guy - I can't recommend him enough!

The Private Lesson School is amazing. Their teachers are professional, caring, and most of all patient. My child is a soon to be 10th grader with the Santiago High School Orchestra. He has been taking private violin lessons from them for over 3 years. His violin lessons have greatly improved and has had such a confidence booster! His teacher tailor lessons exclusively for his needs at the moment. What an overall wonderful experience with the Private Lesson School! Can't recommend them enough.

My 8-year-old daughter has been learning here for almost 1 year. Mr. Goran (the owner) is so kid-friendly and professional. When the previous teacher couldn’t make it, he came to teach my daughter. She is a shy kid, but she likes him right away. He taught in very fun way.
The current teacher, Ms. Elyse also is wonderful. She likes to make conversation with her students to know them better. Since she knows that my daughter likes Disney, she gives a lot of Disney songs to make my daughter feel fun to learn.
If there are less than 4 sessions in a month, they will give a refund in advance!
They also always be communicative and nice. Thank you!

My 5 and 10-year-old sons have been getting piano lessons from our teacher for several months now in our home in Upland, on our own piano. He's an amazing teacher, and both boys are learning extremely quickly. The teacher is passionate about music, his students, and his business. I couldn't imagine a better teacher for the two. There are not many people who can keep up with the energy of two young boys, but he does it easily by connecting and engaging with them.
My boys are flying through their music books, reading music, and playing songs independently. They can't wait until their next lesson! He gets them excited about music.
On top of being a great teacher, he is great at communication. He sends us a video of the boys at the end of each lesson, showing off their improvement. When we needed to move a lesson, he worked with us to accommodate them.
I don't leave reviews on Yelp often (usually, it's when I'm frustrated with a service), but I had to stop and leave one here. We will definitely be continuing this school's services for years to come!

Love the teachers! My kids have been taking classes with them from the beginning of piano and violin lessons and are now playing full music sheets and duets! Teachers are caring, patient, focused, and fun! The Private Lesson School does not disappoint!He can be funny, he can be serious about the learning attitude and commitment about practicing. My kids are currently taking lessons with an incredible, energetic and enthusiastic teacher from this school! Our instructor comes to our house and makes learning piano ridiculously fun. The growth that both my kids have had from Dec to now has been amazing. I never thought that either kid would be able to play as well as they do and have such a passion for piano! They both practice without being asked (which is a testament to our instructor who makes piano so fun!). I highly recommend this school!!!

They have recital every 6 months and that brings confidence in the kids.. They drive to our home and that is much appreciated and good as we might have other chores. They have flexible schedule.

Teachers at other schools were unprofessional and the staff was not pleasant to interact with. The staff at The Private Lesson School is always professional, prompt, and super friendly! This school was recommended many times on Facebook so I decided to start with a trial class.
Miss Mandy was assigned to my daughter. My daughter instantly fell in love with piano. Miss Mandy always greets us with a smile and asks us how her day at school has been before starting lessons.
She really gets to know her on a more personal level. She's displayed professionalism everytime she comes over.
My daughter had her first recital that the school put together recently and it was amazing. It was so fun for the whole family. It definitely motivated my daughter more. She absolutely loves piano and it's all thanks to this wonderful school. I have recommended them to others and will continue to due so. Try them out at least once you won't be disappointed.

We chose The Private Lesson School because it is so convenient to have in-home lessons. Our teacher's enthusiasm is contagious and he has such a gift for working with young children and has taken my 6 year old and 8 year old from no experience to both quickly learning songs and performing in a recital in about 5-7 lessons each.
At the recital we were able to listen to several students playing and meeting other teachers. All of the students were taught very well and had great relationships with their individual instructors.

My 6 year old daughter started taking lessons with Mr. Josiah 2 months ago- she learned how to play the first couple of lines of Ode to Joy very quickly and is excited to have Mr. josiah come every Monday! He is very patient even when my daughter strays from the lesson at times! Would definitely recommend! Also it is so convenient to have them come to the house and all you need is a keyboard.
